Many companies hire tele-commuters

When I say tele-commute I speak about working for a regular so-called brick and mortar company. For example a company has a headquarters where people work on site, but they have telephone sales people, graphic artists, or customer representatives set up to work from home. They communicate by telephone, Internet, email, video conferencing, etc.

There are many companies that have legitimate work from home jobs. Most of these companies will charge a fee to do a background check. Other than that, there usually aren't any fees to pay. Most of them provide free training.

If you've ever called your cell phone company's toll free customer service number or your Internet service provider, you've probably talked to a tele-commuter working from home. Lots of American companies used to have their telephone call centers located overseas. Due to customers complaints about language barriers, many of these companies moved back to the U.S. and hired home workers located in America to answer their customer service telephone calls.

Telephone representatives are not the only fields that hire home workers. There are many others. Some other typical work at home jobs are website chat reps., computer programmers, teachers, tutors, graphic artists, and medical transcribers.
